Don’t Forget This Is Happening
A friend of mine from high school posted something very convicting on their blog this morning. It was a link to a war site that listed the amount of soldiers killed in Iraq, Afghanistan and the amount of Iraqi and Afghan citizens killed since the invasion. Don’t worry this blog is not political… It is just so easy to forget that people are dying almost everyday for our freedom. To the soldiers… we love you and pray for your safety… THANK YOU! I think we should call the innocent people of Iraq and Afghanistan who have died heroes as well. They have also died for and because of freedom. The terrorists aren’t really targeting soldiers… they are targeting the innocent people of these nations and for that, they are cowards. Whether you are for the war or not, PEOPLE should matter and I just wanted to remind myself, more than anyone, to remember that.

Thank You!!!
This morning I dropped off the last speaker to leave, Pastor Brian Greene. I am so thankful for all of our speakers… Pastor Don Shilts, Pastor Brian Greene, and Bishop Courtney McBath. All of them really made a difference in my life and I know they made an impact in our church. I am also thankful for Dr. Pruitt… he came on Friday night for the ordination service and it was a really powerful time! He was so encouraging to the young men being licensed and ordained.
BUT — The main reason I wrote this blog, was to say thank you to Calvary Church. The greeters, the children’s ministry, security, all the people who prepared the meals and served, audio, video, bookstore, you are why Calvary Church is amazing. I love you and I am so thankful for the opportunity to serve with you. Get some rest… Sunday will be here before you know it! God Bless you… Robbie

Our Conference This Week
Warm greetings from the beautiful Smoky Mountains in East Tennessee!
Together with my wife Theresa and the entire Calvary Church Family we extend an invitation to you to attend our 24th Anniversary Celebration. Our theme is “Separated Unto God…Standing in His Shadow.”
In our difficult economic times we intend to build the faith of God’s people by focusing upon His provision and His promise to those who ”dwell in the secret place of the most high” and “abide in the shadow of the almighty” (Psalm 91:1)
God has always taken care of His children. In the flood He provided an Ark. In Egypt’s judgment God said “I will sever in that day the land of Goshen, in which my people dwell, that no swarms of flies shall be there,…And I will put a division between my people and thy (Egypt’s) people.” [God] separated His people from the judgement that came upon Egypt (Exodus 8:22-23).
God provided food for the widow in famine and drought (1 Kings 17). God always takes care of His children, from “manna” on the ground, to shoes that wouldn’t wear out, tax money in the fishes mouth, to abundance for the multitude with fish and loaves…and the list goes on!
I believe we are to be a Joseph to this nation and to our communities. We should have two coats so we can give one, and possess confidence in these difficult times and the answer to doubting hearts. This is our opportunity to serve, to shine and to supply!
Pastor Richard Hilton

Love it.
