    The Promise | Video Highlights

November 21-22 our youth ministry hosted its second annual Generation Conference. On Friday night we had Jabin Chavez, he is the Youth Pastor at The Church at South Las Vegas. It was wonderful, Jabin preached with great power. Saturday was full of the presence of God. We had a morning service and then two sessions; one with Jabin (Worship); and one with Matt Holcomb on The Power of the Gospel. It was awesome! Check out these videos. I will get with you in January with the dates for the next one… God Bless Ya!

Michael Jordan – My Heart Breaks

Say it ain’t so Michael… Video footage of a short, computer geek at the Wall Street Journal beating Michael Jordan one-on-one. I am in agony today as my hero is humiliated. The end is near!

He wasn’t trying or MJ would have dunked on him while at the same time stripping this guy of his manhood and self worth. Mike probably thought it would be better to have mercy on him so he wouldn’t have to cry himself to sleep for the rest of his life. COME BACK MJ!!! I would watch you play even if you were 60! Even at 60 MJ could take Kobe to school.

    change.. the good and bad..

Last night was obviously a great moment in our history for race relations. Forty years ago, George Wallace, a white racist won 5 states in a presidential election. Forty years later.. A black man will be our president. No minority in this country has faced more hatred than black people. So, this is, in one aspect, a great moment in American History. America has blown the concept of race “holding people back” out of the water. America is the greatest nation in the world. I have no idea what it is like to be a minority or be kept out of normal everyday activities because of my race, so I completely respect the joy of minorities in our country and around the world.

On the other hand, race will not clear this man of his horrible beliefs on abortion, homosexuality, socialism, and many other issues. I pledge to you President-Elect Obama that I will pray for you, support you, and with my last breath oppose all of your ungodly beliefs. I am a Christian first.. I will fear GOD not man.. May God bless you and keep you, but grip your heart with the fear of the LORD and the conviction of the Holy Spirit. May you see and America see that all minorities deserve to be protected, especially when their voice can not be heard.

      truth to all of that.

Amen to that! VERY well put!!! I agree with you 100%, I appreciate how you recognized the aspect of a great victory for a minority race. And the fact the same man from which this victory comes defeats another minority which cannot be heard! I hope this message gets spread around to many many people and someone forwards it to Pres. Elect Obama himself!

    Election Day 2008

Today is a huge day for America. At the end of the day, we will have elected the first woman vice president or the first black man president. I believe no matter what happens, the church must arise and be what God has called us to be… A force for the cause of Christ. I love America! Vote!! Let your voice be heard!!! Psalm 23 has been on my mind all morning…

    THE MESSAGE BIBLE

God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing. You have bedded me down in lush meadows, you find me quiet pools to drink from. True to your word, you let me catch my breath and send me in the right direction. Even when the way goes through Death Valley, I’m not afraid when you walk at my side. Your trusty shepherd’s crook makes me feel secure. You serve me a six-course dinner right in front of my enemies. You revive my drooping head; my cup brims with blessing. Your beauty and love chase after me every day of my life. I’m back home in the house of God for the rest of my life.

Hey Rob! Great articles on your blog. Just hope that Christians will be praying for Barak Obama (if he wins) as much as we prayed for George Bush. Far too often we only pray for those presidents who support our core values when the Scripture clearly states that we should pray for all who are in authority
      (1 Timothy 2:1-4)
