Childlike Fathers
My kids have had this conversation with me many times. “Dad, this person won’t be my friend because I am friends with this other person”. What is breaking my heart is that I am hearing fathers have this conversation with their children. “Son, I can’t fellowship with you because you fellowship with this other person. I know he is your brother in Christ, and he hasn’t committed any sin, but I’m mad at him, so you better be mad at him too”. Are you kidding me? Are we in the mafia? I thought this was a season where God was turning the hearts of the fathers toward their children and turning the hearts of children toward their fathers? I know for me and my father, God is bringing us closer than ever before.
The truth is, this is a time where if the fathers aren’t careful they will destroy every relationship they have and leave their kids without an inheritance of friendships! If you are my friend and you are reading this blog, know this…YOU ARE MY FRIEND. I will do one thing…I will continue to care for my friends, love fathers and at the end of this God will restore what bitterness has damaged.

Hey Robbie,
All I can say is Amen to this, it is a shame to see fathers in the faith acting so childish. Please let your dad know that we love him and are praying for him.

Yo Robbie,
I look at father’s in the Lord and I see two types. father’s who do the Lord’s work and father’s who think the Lord works for them. The fathers like your dad and my Pastor trully represent God in every way. Not by just their words but their actions. They never forget who is really in charge and I thank God everyday for men of God like your dad and my pastor. The others oh well God will take care of that himself. I would not want to be in their shoes when that day happens. God does protect his people and he will uncover and show truth. Keep up the good work down there I know you mom and dad are very proud of you, Ricky and Rebecca.
