    Fight Back

2 Corinthians 10:3-4 “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

We are in a fight. Living for God is not always easy, but it is possible when you fight with the right weapons. One thing to notice about each of these, is they have nothing to do with our own ability. I LOVE IT!!!

    Some weapons to war with:

God’s Word – Hebrew 4:12, 13 “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.”

The Blood of Jesus – Revelation 12:10-11 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”

The Name of Jesus – Mark 16:17 “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;”

Memorial Day is one of the most forgotten, but important days of the year. We always look forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, and they are awesome, but they wouldn’t be what they are if we didn’t live in a free nation. We live in a free nation because men and women have fought and died for us. I am so thankful for every person who has served and serves in our armed forces. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! You are America’s best!!!

    Choose To Confess

    JUDAS: Matthew 27:3-5 | PETER: Matthew 26:75

Two different mistakes, two extremely different results. One man (Judas) decided that the shame for what he had done would be reason to take his own life. The other (Peter) chose to find mercy. The price might be as steep for you. Don’t allow yourself to live a life full of shame. It might cost you your life. Choose to confess your sin to God. Choose to bring the hidden things out in the open and find the mercy of God waiting for you. Too many people have let their past keep them in depression and many have hated themselves for it. Your enemy is a defeated foe, even if you feel like the defeated one, he is the loser and you are the victor. The past is over…MOVE FORWARD. Don’t look back, look ahead.

Zechariah 3:1-5 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. 2 And the LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”3 Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. 4 Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” 5 And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the LORD stood by.

What a beautiful picture of what Jesus has done for us! The first thing I notice about this scripture is verses 1-3; Satan is accusing Joshua, but the Lord rebuked satan, not because Joshua was innocent, but because the Lord was standing in the gap. Verse 3 says Joshua was wearing filthy garments…you and I have failed, but God wants to stand in the gap, give us new garments, remove our sin and clothe us with an abundant life. If you could hear my voice and weren’t just reading my thoughts on a monitor, you would hear the excitement I am feeling right now. You would be able to look in my eyes and see that I am overwhelmed by what God has done for us! As you read this, know that the enemy is bringing your faults before the Lord and Jesus is refuting every accusation made by Satan. You are free to walk in your new nature without shame.

    They Missed His Face

…Then they all wept freely, and fell on Paul’s neck and kissed him sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they would see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship. Acts 20:37-38

What is the world! This is, for me, the greatest example of the response God’s people should have for a true Leader. The only way these people could have loved Paul this much, is if Paul loved God’s people like God loves them. Too many leaders are concerned with making sure the people respect and listen they forget that loving God’s people will give you a voice among God’s people. What makes this so cool is the people were not going to miss his preaching, prophesying, leadership skills, or anointing…they were going to miss his face. God help us to be this kind of leader…

    Whatever He Says…Do It

Here is the key to victorious living: whatever the Holy Spirit tells you to do, do it…

John 2:1-5 (NIV), “On the third day, a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’ mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.” “Dear woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied, “My time has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

This is the answer for the dryness that you feel. This is the answer for the gap that you think exists between you and God. If you want the new wine (vs. 5), “Do whatever He tells you.” If you are bored with spiritual things – begin to do the natural things he tells you to do. Put down the remote, turn off the video games, stop watching movies with sinful themes and elements. Do what you know to do and the spiritual things will become new and fresh again. If he tells you to get up at 3:00 AM, and read your Bible – do it. If he tells you to be at the House of God on Wednesday and not just Sunday – do it! When you respond in Faith to what He tells you to do – watch out, because new wine is coming. Too often we miss what God is trying to do because we are waiting for something supernatural to happen. We are looking for a sign, when God is looking for action on what you already know to do. We are looking for a new revelation, when God has already given us directions that we keep ignoring. Do what you know to do and God will take care of the rest. – Robbie

I want to recommend a book that I believe will change your life. It is written by Bishop B. Courtney McBath and is titled Living @ the Next Level. In this book he describes how to live in the place that you are in. Also, how to stop looking for something to happen in the future and realize that God is blessing you now! It it an amazing book and I’m convinced that you will enjoy it. Just click on the picture of the book and it will take you to the site where you can order a copy. Let your friends know about this book!

    Grace…To Live Right

Romans 6:13-15 (KJV), “Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.”

Grace is not some great excuse to keep on sinning. Grace gives you the ability to live right. As children of the New Covenant, sin no longer has control over us, because His abundant grace gives us power to live above sin. You’re deluding yourself if you think grace is an excuse to commit sin and get away with anything you please. The wages of sin are still death. You cannot continually sin, and somehow think you have exchanged your nature. Grace is an empowerment, not an excuse for immoral living. If you try to use it as such, you will be judged accordingly. Grace is the ability to keep the Ten Commandments, not an excuse to break them! The standard in the New Testament for morality is actually higher than in the old. Did you know that? Need proof? Then read Matthew 5:27-29 (KJV), “You have heard that it was said, ‘Do not commit adultery.’ But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.”

Old Testament men and women experienced difficulty when they tried to live morally-sound lives, because they had to do it without the power of the Holy Spirit, or an exchanged nature. The blessing of the New Covenant is not lawlessness through grace – it is the ability to live morally because of empowerment through grace.

    You Can’t Change The Past

You can not change the past. All of us would if we could, but we can’t. We have all said “If I could just change that, man I would give anything.”  The good news is that you can’t. You say why is that good news? It is good news because if you can’t change the past you can let the past go! This story in 2 Samuel is a good illustration.

“While the child was still alive, I fasted and wept. I thought, ‘Who knows? The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.’ But now that he is dead, why should I fast? Can I bring him back again? 2 Samuel 12:22-23

David’s men were shocked when he washed himself and pulled it together after the death of his child. They expected his mourning to go to another level. That is what the enemy wants from us. He wants us to mourn longer than we should; he wants us to hide forever. Surprise him! Pull yourself together forget the past and focus on the new life that he has given you through the power of your changed nature!
