    YMC | The Door Fellowship

I am actually on my computer for the first time in 4 days! I know you missed me. :)

I just got home about an hour ago from an awesome time in Pennsylvania at The Door Fellowship. They had a conference for young ministers and it was wonderful. God really moved and many of us are never going to be the same. I was able to spend time with some of my favorite people in the world and I am grateful for their friendship. I am now going to grab some mountain dew and watch North Carolina beat somebody like Ryan Holcomb beats the drums. Then I am going to hit myself over the head with a frying pan and wake up sometime on Wednesday! GOOD NIGHT AMERICA!

Robby you are the man! It was awesome to see you this past week. Even if it was only a little. You’re an inspiration to all of us young ministers. Love you!

    Aaliyah Hilton

menaaliyah.jpgYesterday was Aaliyah’s birthday. Aaliyah was the beginning of something brand new in my life. When she was born it was really special because we didn’t know what the baby was going to be, BOY or GIRL. Come to find out it was an alien! Just kidding…ok no I’m not! She is the most unique little girl and I love it. All of the kids are very different, but Aaliyah brought to our lives the part that was missing, the part that only she could fill. I love her with all my heart and I pray that I can be the daddy she deserves. Watch the video it will explain everything…

HAHAHA! I’ll have to get Lauren to watch this!!!! Be sure to keep this to ward off boys in the teenage years! I’m just kidding!
The Sunday School teacher on Easter Sunday told Gary that Aaliyah was concerned about Lauren, that she wasn’t growing… because she’s not as tall as Aaliyah.
I am very thankful that they’ll grow up together, hold each other accountable to stay true and pure, depend on each other. You know?
      Have a wonderful day!

I can totally relate to Aaliyah’s “unique” personality. Out of 6 kids, my Marley is very similar to Aaliyah. They are in the same class together at church. I hear some interesting stories of the 2 of them… I am just glad to see that there is a little girl that Marley can totally relate to.

    WHAT’S MY MOTIVATION?

John 13:34-35 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

I am convinced that the greatest move of God ever seen will happen when we learn to love the way God loves. God’s love is not motivated by human qualities…His love is motivated by grace. The impact of our faith is determined by the depth of our LOVE…

Vince Lombardi, the legendary coach of the Green Bay Packers, understood the power love has to bring out the best in people and make an impact on their lives. He said, “There are a lot of coaches with good ball clubs who know the fundamentals and have plenty of discipline but still don’t win the game. Then you come to the third ingredient: If you’re going to play together as a team, you’ve got to care for one another. You’ve got to love each other. Each player has to be thinking about the next guy.” JOHN MAXWELL – Becoming a Person of Influence

In his book “In the Arena”, former president Richard Nixon described his depression following his resignation from the White House and his undergoing surgery. At one point when he was in the hospital, he told his wife, Pat that he wanted to die. When he was at the absolute lowest point in his life, a nurse in the hospital came into his room, opened the drapes, and pointed out a small plane that was flying back and forth overhead. It was pulling this sign: God Loves You, And So Do We. Ruth Graham, evangelist Billy Graham’s wife, had arranged for the plane to fly by the hospital. That’s when Nixon experienced a turning point. Seeing that expression of love gave him the courage and desire to keep going and recover.

So, would you say that if its ‘hard’ to love then its not the love we need to have? Loving your enemies when they are throwing the stones at you seems impossible to some, but to those who have endured it, do you think they see the ‘enemy’ and this is how they are able to love even in persecution. Love beyond the hurt?

      just some thoughts…

This is great, can’t wait to see the rest.

I think the entire key to being free, is learning to worship God and be in His presence. Once that happens on a regular basis, transformation takes place and the things that hindered us before will simply fall to the ground. Looking back to the old life, recognizing that man was dead; to now and to the future the new man is completely brand spanking new.

    DIFFERENT

aaliyahglasses.jpgIf you know me well…you must know that I have three kids. Each one of my kids are so different. Chloe is beautiful, smart, goofy, quiet, and so much more. Judah is athletic, tough and gentle at the same time, handsome of course, cause he looks like his pappa. Aaliyah is….CRAZY!!! I don’t know if it’s third child issues or what, but something is definately DIFFERENT about Aaliyah. All of my kids, like all of us, are different. The way we look, what we like, our strengths, our weaknesses…but one thing we all have in common is a desire to be loved. The great thing about God is that my love, and believe me I love my kids, does not even compare to the way He loves us. Those things about you that are different, that aren’t always noticed by people, were given to you by God.

Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

    Faith The Foundation

Hebrews 11:1-3 1Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. 2This is what the ancients were commended for. 3By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.

For us to properly understand Salvation we have to properly understand Faith. Faith is not a mysterious hit and miss formula that we use to force God to do things for us. Faith in God has more to do with believing God, than believing in what God can do. Confusion in the area of faith comes from non Biblical teaching that place the purpose and focus of faith on self gratification. Most Christians believe that trials and sickness are a result of a lack of faith, when that thinking will lead to frustration and anger with God. Faith simply believes God no matter the circumstance.

bro, love this concept. faith is definitely not about self-gratification. so wildly about coming into agreement with what God wants. Faith starts with hearing God, knowing God and then aligning ourselves with him. you are the man.

I love reading things you have written. It doesn’t seem that long ago you were Chloe’s age to me. Your family (as you already know) is beautiful. I’m so very proud of you Robbie and the man of God you have become but even more than that, I’m proud of the wonderful father you are. You are making such an impact in the lives of others. I love you and your family very much.
